The Light
By Rocky Dickerson

There was a light
The light was pure love
We emerged from that light

Holding our strands together as long as we could
But finally
Releasing

We have met before
And loved
As no others have

We have found each other
Across the world
Across time

We have a common knowing
The special dates that still ring true
And bring us chills

In our common stressful world
Our souls know the depth and purpose of our love
Even when our minds forget

As you hold me in your arms
I can forget the hassles and the expectations of the world
Remembering only your soul

In eons to come when this planet ceases to exist
I will seek you out the final time to join your strands with mine
I will forever merge with you

In The Light
